Another family favourite, this lemon concoction goes back to the 19th centrury when creamy lemon puddings were already being enjoyed. Thanks to Alexander Frehse who used easily found farm ingredients such as butter, cream, eggs and lemon, this is now a top favourite dessert.
A sweet and zesty Tart Pastry base is first blind-baked, then filled with a homemade Lemon Curded Cream and further topped with soft lemon zest sprinkled Meringue swirls finished off with a touch of sugar for browning….a divine creamy yet textured sensation.
