I love macadamia nuts and maple syprup so why not combine them? The subtle, smoky sweetness of the maple syrup and the buttery crunch of the macadamia nuts are the perfect cupcake mix. Maple syrup is a natural product made from the sap of maple trees found in parts of Canada and the United States, it is used mostly to glaze pancakes and waffles, however, it can be used in many other sweet recipes…
Here it is used in the batter together with dark sugar and macadamia nuts and then also used in the frosting when combined with cream cheese and chopped nuts.
