Doesn t get more Christmassy than this….
The traditional Yule Log refers to the log-shaped Christmas cakes, also known as “chocolate logs” or “Bûche de Noël”. This log has long been associated with Christmas traditions as the name originally derived from it being a large wooden log which is burned in the hearth as a part of traditional Christmas celebrations in many European cultures.
This ‘log’ is a mix of hazelnuts, dark chocolate, flaked almonds, crushed biscuits, dried apricots, glace morello cherries and several tots of pear brandy all shaped together and then glazed with a dark chocolate, honey and whipped cream glaze…
