Description
Scottish in origin; this rich, tender and crumbly biscuit is a classic. It is made with of one part sugar to two parts butter to three parts flour mixed together for the basic shortbread mix.
The strawberry jam biscuit is a simple shortbread topped with strawberry conserve and then drizzled with white chocolate.
The second biscuit is the shortbread dough mixed with saffron threads for flavouring and coated with swedish pearl sugar and coconut flakes.
Both these shortbread biscuits look festive and make an ideal cookie during the Christmas season with their coating of white powdered sugar and red conserve.
