Description

Nothing is more fun to eat than children birthday cakes with all the bright colours and fun decorations. In this case the birthday boy Nate’s request was Thomas the Train ! :)

This celebration cake is a mix of 2 shapes used to create the basic train shape; a rich chocolate and hazelnut cake together with a chocolate roulade which I filled with a strawberry and mascarpone thick filling.
The train is then frosted with a Viennese vanilla and hazelnut icing cream in 3 different colours.

Finally, the creative part, decorating with sweet loops, writing frosting and bits… all adding up to this fun train.
