Description
I was inspired to bake the Red Velvet Cake after a recent visit to the States. Found in every coffeeshop; this cake is very striking and dramatic looking with its bright red color layered together with the creamy white frosting. This layer cake is a mix of moist chocolate and vanilla in flavours and topped with a final cream cheese icing.
The red velvet cake was a signature dessert at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City during the 1920s and nowadays still is a big favorite all around the States and in Canada.
Sinful in colour and in taste !
