Description
I made my first rock buns during a Home economics class when I was attending secondary school
I remembered we were taught to make rock buns to demonstrate the rub-in method. Here I am now, 20 years later missing and re-living my first baking experience. This version of rockbuns is a chocolate chip one and I dipped half the cookies in dark chocolate too for some extra chociness…..
A confection that is popular in Europe; Florentines are a delicious mixture of toasted chopped almonds that are coated with a sweet sticky mixture of dark sugar, honey and whipped cream and baked until golden brown and bubbly. Then I sandwidched the florentines togethere with melted dark chocolate to create some extra crunch.
